History of Laborex from 1960 till 2000

A little history

  • 1960-1976: Laborex is a commercial enterprise specialized in the importation of cleaning machines and surface treatment and sells his machines in Belgium and Luxemburg.

  • 1977: Birth of our first production line: the Laborex component cleaning tables. The original thought was the production of technical sophistical material, simple to operate and maintain. This idea was the basis of an unexpected success in practical every branch.

  • 1981: Our Italian supplier of blasting cabinets goes bankrupt. Due to this, the second Laborex machine sees the daylight: the Laborex Venturi blasting cabinets.

  • 1984: Our supplier of immersion baths stops his activities. Due to this, Laborex starts his third production line: the Laborex immersion systems.

  • 1984-1988: During these years there is little production development and innovation. However, the necessity remains to be competitive.

  • 1988-1991: The already existing production lines of Laborex are refreshed and renewed. All the Laborex machines receive a CE-certificate. In these years the fourth production line of Laborex is launched on the market: the pressure blasting cabinets.

  • 1993: Starting up of the fifth production line of Laborex: the rotating spray pressure cleaning machines, also named the top loading washers and front loading washers. To start this new production line Laborex has closed an investment credit in 1992. These rotating spray pressure cleaning machines are a very important production line for the yearly turnover of Laborex. Four types of rotating spray pressure cleaning machines lay on the basis of an unexpected expansion and further development of the company.

  • 1996: Laborex focusses more and more on the industry and production. As a result of this, the demand of transit washing machines increased. The sixth Laborex production line, specially for automatic processes, was born: the Laborex transit washing machines.

  • 1997: As a result of the six production lines and an increase of demand of measure made machines and special equipped apparatus, such as oil skimmers and grease separators, Laborex decides to start up his own Plate Department in Hoboken. A complete new hall is built to execute this activity. This Plate Department was mainly meant for Laborex, but now also manufactures for 60 % for thirds.

  • 1999: Laborex cracks out of joint. Laborex decides to build a new company in Olen.
