Perfect blasting medium for surface treatment and polishing
The white aluminium oxide LX 5200 is very appropriate for the production of agglomerate abrasives, grindstones, segments and lapping discs for reparations, polishing and surface treatment.
The steady looseness of this aluminium oxide induces the self polishing of the bead edges and favours a quick working without heating. This product is specially recommended when using heat sensitive steel grades. The beads of the LX 5200 are kept together through a ceramic binder.
The LX 5200 is also used for the descaling of surface layers by means of projection with compressed air and is specially appropriate for the treatment of “fine” metal work to obtain a pure result without oxidation of possible impurities.
Description
The LX 5200 is a white aluminium oxide with a controlled crystallization. These beads are melted in an electric furnace. This product undergoes different treatments so that similar beads are obtained.

The white aluminium oxide LX 5200 does not contain any toxic elements. It keeps all his characteristics when stocking. The common, by not toxic pulverized products, precautionary measures have to be taken.
