REPLACES SOLVENTS DURING THE CLEANING OF PRODUCTION MACHINES
In 2007, Laborex has founded a new company, CTEC called. CTEC is the abbreviation for up-to-date Cleaning Technology.
CTEC specializes in the sales of economic and ecofriendly degreasers. These special degreasers allow a cost effective and water based degreasing of all kinds of parts and machines.
CTEC: WATER BASED DEGREASING
During the “Protocol of Montreal”, many companies use more and more water based degreasers. However, the problem is that the most oils and greases emulsify in water. As the water is polluted, the effect and quality of the cleaning reduces. The washing baths have to be replaced regularly, which is disadvantuous for the production. Also the polluted water, that has to be treated as chemic waste, has risks.
An advantage in those days during the degreasing with solvents (Tri, Per and 111Tri) was that oil simply could be separated through distillation of the solvent and because of the reuse of the solvent, degreasing baths had a longer redress life.

DEEMULSIFIING WORKING
The degreasers of CTEC are made of surface active substances. These active substances remove oil, grease and dirt till in the deepest pores of the material that have to be cleaned. After this the de-emulsifing happens. While oil and grease rise to the water surface, they take away the floating particles and the possible bacteria present in water. The oil and dirt that float on the water surface will be removed with a simple oil skimmer or grease separator. Because the bath is cleaned continuously, the quality remains and the redress life of the bath is much longer. Most Laborex baths have a redress life between 6 and 12 months and sometimes much longer.
SAFE AND ECOFRIENDLY
The CTEC degreaser is a neutral water based product that does not injure the skin. This product is appropriate for all kinds of metals (steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminium, …). It is an exempt solvent product and does not contain nitrates, nitrites and preservatives. This degreaser is biological destructible and does not accumulate in the environment.
SAVINGS
The CTEC degreaser can be used in all kinds of machines and is active at 38 °C. Due to this low temperature, less water evaporates. The longer redress life of the baths (the baths do not have to be replaced often) brings on a enormous saving on the use of water, chemicals and energy.

Briefly summarized: the CTEC degreaser not only meets all the demands and requests with relation to the safety of the people and the environment, but is specially economic and efficient. This is one big reason why many leading companies use degreasers for their production and treatment of metal.
